Have being using my current moniter (samsung S27B970) 1440 pls moniter with glossy screen for over 6 years
its been a great moniter but for fps game or anything fast pacced it sucks.

So am in market for new moniter pref something that will also support ps5 or at least 4k virtual support but can do without.
looking for one that has the lowest input lag and has good colour accuracy and response.was also considering making the jump to 4k but not sure it worth at mo my 1080Ti might struggle.
was looking at this one but it not out yet

For some weird reason Sony apparently still isn't supporting 2560x1440 resolution, but only old 1080p and 4K.
So most of the time those monitors are stuck with 1920x1080 for PS5 use making them less than ideal.
Though some monitors can pretend to be 4K ones and scale it internally down to 2560x1440.
But without HDMI 2.1 that still means max 60Hz fps.
Hence monitor with HDMI 2.1 would be preferred even for 2560x1440.

Just not sure if those are coming anytime soon with reluctancy monitor makers have in updating connectivity.
Even 4K monitors needing more bandwidth are lagging behind with HDMI 2.1 in only recently released/announced models.
Like LG's 27GP950, which is otherwise similar to 27GN950.

In 32" size high fps 4K monitors are still waiting for actual release with hopefully something out for summer.
(got 2560x1440 IPS panels only recently)
Asus PG32UQ and ViewSonic XG320U are two expected to be released models.

Also for console compatibility forget those only Gsync models.
You need Freesync for variable refresh rate to work with consoles.
That variable refresh rate is also one of things made officially part of standard in HDMI 2.1.

Thanks for the input...will hold fire until few hdmi 2.1 moniter are released not in big rush..
