Hi,

Ive just bought the Iiyama Prolite GB2773HS-GB1 144Hz 27" Widescreen LED 1MS Monitor, and although its nice and smooth ingame, with no tearing etc, the picture quality is pretty awful compared to my last monitor, which is quite old, the BenQ G2420HDBL.

I dont know what to do :S the pixels are SO clear. I knew this might happen going from 24 to 27" but is it this visible on other 144hz monitors? Even looking at pictures its almost like theres horizontal lines across everything.

Battlefield 4 has gone from looking amazing, to looking how it looked on my old graphics card which could only run medium settings :/

help!

thanks

Adam

fast 144hz tn panels are for speed and smoothness, poor picture quality
ips. 60hz panels are for nice picture quality. but not as smooth as tns. you cant have both.

Not sure that's wholly true!

My 29" LG Superwide screen is very smooth in BF3 and Borderlands 2 but obviously you cannot compare that to the 120/144hz monitor as they're totally different.

i agree, cant really have the best of both world at the minute without spending £700, which i will never spend on a monitor!

just torn on what to do :S the smoothness is good.. but i never considered it would look as bad as it does.

reckon i should have bought a 1440p IPS instead?

initially i was just sick of tearing on my old monitor, so thought the 144hz would be a good idea, just didnt imagine the picture quality to be less than my old, non 144hz TN monitor.

bit bemused at how the reviews of this monitor state is has a crisp crystal clear image :S

My aoc i2367fh overclocks to 75hz. It's discontinued though (but I will be selling it). The image quality is amazing
