Hi All,
I need a new monitor. I am replacing a 12yr old Dell 24" - 1920x1200 and I know technology has moved on somewhat since then.
As my only recent monitor choices have been "cheap and cheerful" for work and bought on cost over everything, I want to make sure I'm buying right.
Requirements:

  • 24" - 27"
  • Internet, Office, Photo Editing/Manipulation (so doesn't require any advanced gaming feature)
  • 1920x1080 (not adverse to higher resolution, but almost certainly not needed. I'll get use to the drop in real-estate from 1920x1200)
  • HDMI & Display Port preferred. Although HDMI only acceptable (Converting an HDMI to DP would be straight forward if required)
  • Height Adjustable (Important - Sitting on a desk, don't want to use reems of paper to height adjust!)
  • I was always a massive Iiyama fan in the past - but you guys will know brands better than I
  • Budget: £100 - £150 (Room for movement, but really don't want to spend more than the £150 if possible)

Cheers everyone for your advice.

Does it matter if it's glossy or matte?

Even so that’s £200 new and one sold on MM for £140. How much of a premium is 144hz worth. Was planning to price it at £250 but I think it might go quicker at £200.
Well I had it on Facebook marketplace for over a month at £200 with no interest, apart from one scammer. Reduced the price to £150 and had three people interested within two weeks.

Sold it this evening for £150 buyer collected. I'm happy with that.
