I currently game over 3 x 24" displays 5760 x 1080 they are 120hz 3D panels (I never use the 3D). I am really drawn to the 4k panels and don't know whether I would primarily want to run a single monitor for gaming (I would look to keep two of my monitors for work purposes and productivity).

I am really after some advice on whether it's really worth it? or if anyone has any similar experiences, the extra vertical height in games is really appealing, I know I lose some horizontal but the outer screens are not the primary focus when gaming on three.

Any suggestions on 4k panels to settle on if any of you guys are in agreement?

All the best
Lea

I'd forget 4K monitors and go for THIS bad boy! Or if you can't stretch to that, then the curveless version is also an excellent choice. There's an AOC monitor (U3477PQU) around the corner also, rumoured to be cheaper still.

Thanks for the suggestions Legend they are appreciated. Not really considered them as an option but will certainly have a closer look at them. Shame I can't try these items out before purchase!!!!

Any other opinions are welcome.

If you want full immersion, 21:9 is the way to go (until Oculus Rift hits anyway). There are some reviews of both of these monitors on You Tube by Linus... check them out.

Yeah am awaiting Oculus Rift, which again unsure whether there is much point upgrading monitors if I will end up using that as a primary source for gaming, will check out the youtube vids now bud.

Cheers
Lea
