I recently bought the AOC AGON AG241QG 165hz 1440p G-sync monitor, gameplay seems a lot smoother now but the colours seem a bit washed out, I know this is normally the case with TN panels but was wondering if anybody had owned one and knew any best settings etc.

I got the AGON AG271QG Black/Red 27" G-sync LED Backlight IPS Gaming Monitor last month. It has high refresh rate with 1440p resolution and also the screen is large enough for your average desk setup. It would have been nicer if AOC offered a 32" 120Hz 1440p.

Have a look on tftcentral and see if they have settings / profile already done for your monitor.

This. Bear in mind, though, that each panel is unique so their settings may not help you. However, it doesn't hurt to try, this is what I did before I bought a calibration device and it worked fairly well for me.

Also check if you have a driver and profile on a disk which came with the monitor. I made the silly mistake of thinking that only the manual was on the disk that came with my rog swift.

If it uses the same panel as the Dell S2716DG and Asus PG278Q then adjusting the gamma in the nvidia control panel will help immensely and if you aren't too worried about colour accuracy then upping digital vibrancy a little bit will make a big difference.

Be careful with digital vibrancy though on some tn panels. Even upping it by one notch can increase banding.

Thanks for all the help guys... Davanius I did get a disk but I haven't got a disk drive to check, it's an ex display monitor so hopefully it'll have already been installed (if it has a driver on there)
