Monitor and gaming fps question.

"right my monitor runs at 60hz that means it updates pic 60 times a sec so if i have fps above 60 dont that *mess* (he used another 4 letter word) it up or just be wasted?"

It'll be wasted, on a 60Hz screen you probably wouldn't notice any difference at all between 60fps and 100fps. You might get tearing though, which can be fixed by enabling Vsync.
