any one got a good recomend for monitor arms? atm i use this chunky unit
its a brill arm with tons of adjustment and attaches to a vesa mount, it disapeared from work one day and found its way home but when i do my new desk build i would like something a bit slimmer and sleeker and recomends?

crap pic stretching behind unit with a phone but u get the idea

As you will soon notice when looking for one through the regular channels.. they're mad expensive (think £100+). The cheaper ones like this one seem to be are very hard to find in normal stores, there's quite a few on sites we can't mention here due to the forum policy though.
Still going to be £40 for a semi-decent one so perhaps a bit pricey for an aesthetic upgrade? I got two MDM11S monitor arms, but getting more and more dissatisfied by them. The stiff DVI cable turns the monitor portrait mode into something diagonal'ish. It does look better than this one though, all black with plastic caps over the adjustment screws.

yer i want something better looking tbh it was free so cant complain they are very sturdy and steady which is a good point i can pretty much stand on the arms at work and they wont bend

I have an Ergotron MX desk mount as well (yay I can finally hint about product prices as OC UK doesn't sell these) and at €120 it isn't very cheap. British prices seem to start at £100. They're expensive but you do get quality, they use a gass-spring to offset the weight of the monitor so very easy to adjust as well.

Hazro was going to release monitor arms as well which should be pretty comparable for slightly more than half the price. No idea when they plan on actually releasing them or what they look though.
