Monitor as a TV?

As a hardly use my TV, I'm thinking about ditching it

Is it possible to use a PC monitor as a TV without a PC ? It has HDMI and DP ports

As long as it supports HDCP 2.2 over HDMI it should be fine, though audio could be a complication. Alternatively you can get splitters/strippers to work around those issues.

Is there another way to use my screen? Freeview box maybe ? Sound wise I have a soundbar I assume I could use
