Monitor Audio MR speakers

I'm searching for a set of second hand Monitor Audio Bronze speakers (the silvers are out of budget) and came across some MR series speakers.

Does anyone know where these fit in the MA range? Would they be on par with the bronze?

MR sits below BX in the range hierarchy. About a year after the BR range was replaced by the BX range, they dug into the BR parts bin and used the same drivers partnered with a slightly less substantial cabinet design to come up with the MR range. (The MR1 is about 1/3rd of a kilo lighter than the BR1.) If you put all three ranges together, then from low to high it would go MR, BR, BX.

Thinking about just the standmount speakers, when BR1 and BR2 were out, it was the BR1 that was the star performer. That positioning flipped over in the BX range. It was the BX2 that was the standmount to have. Since MR is based on the BR range, then MR1 is probably the one to look out for. BR1 would be better though.

The set I've seen includes MR4 front, MR centre, and MR1 rears.

Perhaps I'll leave them and look for something better/newer.
