Monitor Broken, how to gain access

Hi All,

I have smashed the screen on my sony laptop and want to be able to gain access to it via something like remote desktop, vnc etc.

I have no idea what my RDP/firewall setting are so it may be a tough one.

Any suggestions please help

Plug a monitor into it

Not sure if I will be able to get it to a point where the hotkey drivers are loaded as I think you have to log in to get to that point. no keys means no monitor out switch. Will give it a go.

If you cant log in without seeing the screen, then it's time to cut your losses and take the hard drive out. Plug it into a desktop / external enclosure and take the data off it that way.

Oh, and don't smash the screen on its replacement.
