Monitor Calibration Products - help needed

Hi,

I am hopefully going to be purchasing 2 x Benq FP241W monitors for 3D Modelling work plus some gaming and office related work. Now I am wondering first of all if I need a calibration device at all? The 3D work is not for work it is something I do in my spare time (at the moment this may change). Can I just find other peoples setup for their Benq's and use them?

As I have never used a calibration device and if I do need one can people make some recommendations please. I don't want to spend a lot of money and certainly not over £100. Here are some I have found so far but I have no clue if their any good or not??

Eyeone Display 2. Yes it will take you slightly over budget. But I have been advised by many people that this is the one to have on a budget.

I bought it and I am very happy with it. The only thing that lets it down is lack of instructions, but its simple to use and there are lots of topics on the net.

the Eye-One Display 2 is one of the better hardware devices and can be coupled with several different pieces of software for some excellent results. out of the 3 you've listed though, the Pantone Huey was the best that i tested. see the reviews here: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews.htm
