Just got my Eye-One display 2, using the Lacie software I got the following results.

Manual Calibration (Ignore the percentages I forgot to change the target settings before doing a test and report)

I'm guessing this is a good result?

The monitor is a Dell U2311H.

Here's the PDF report also http://viewer.zoho.com/docs/iaKqae

[edit]

A slight tweak gave me a slightly better result.

Yes it is. The U2311H is actually, as the images show, pretty good in the colour department 'out of the box'. You have made it about as accurate as you will realistically get it, though, with your calibration. Be sure to recalibrate it every now and then (as I'm sure you will anyway) as the backlight ages.

It does go to show how pointless it is using someone else's ICC profile and/or contrast, brightness or RGB controls, since my settings are completely different to the ones on TFTCentral.

Well yeah exactly. The variation between individual panels of the same type and at different ages means that it is foolish to try to copy somebody elses settings and expect excellent colour accuracy. I have to say I have used some of the TFT Central profiles in some of my Dell monitor reviews (and NEC) and found the results to be excellent - crosschecked using a Pantone colorimeter... But I think the individual panels could have been the same ones that Simon reviewed. :)

The U2211H doesn't have a hardware LUT and you're not calibrating for printing specifically - so matrix.
