I've got an x-rite i1 here if anybody wants to borrow it in Tyne and Wear. I cannot find the original instructions or software but they are readily available to download on the net.
Let me know soon, I am leaving the country for a month on Tuesday the 7th of Feb. l will trust people to pass it around to each other if it is needed and will retrieve it from whoever when I return in March.

ok, so I got it earlier on in the week.
But I am having problems making it work. Once it gets to the test it gives me an error:
Error 22.
An error occured while taking a reading. Make sure the sensor is properly attached.
I have tried it on the USB ports of my Silverstone FT-02 and the ones on the monitor (Dell U2711)

To be fair, it didn't make a lot of difference to my factory calibrated U2711 but the difference it made was very positive so am very happy with it
