Monitor Card Q.

Hey,

I've got an 8800GT 512MB and i'm using an old monitor, probably 3 years at least. It's a flat screen goodmans 17" i think.

Anyway, how important is monitor games wise?

I run all games on 1024*768 atm on high, and in COD4 for instance, i get constant 91fps, never higher, sometimes drops to 75-85 in intense multiplayer situations.

Will a good 22" monitor look better and or increase fps ?

Any advice much appreciated,

Mark

...it doesn't come down to the size of the monitor, it's the resolution.

Upping the resolution will give you a clearer image as it has more pixels to play with, you will also lose some performance as the card will have more work to do.

1024*768 these days won't even come close to stressing a modern graphics card.
