Monitor change blocking speakers, possible options?

Hi all,
I've recently changed to an ultrawide monitor, which means my speakers (pair of Edifier MR4s) are now partially blocked by it, with the top 'tweeter'(?) being behind the monitor.
I have seen some setups where people position their speakers on their side to avoid this kind of situation, would that in theory be a better option than having them partially blocked?
Longer term I don't see this being an issue as I'll change desk/setup at some point but at least for now.

Thanks,
George

Yess don't block a drive unit, it'll effect the sound. My standmount speakers are on some speaker stands next to the monitor, a few inches away.
I was leaning that way, having suddenly noticed the speakers being blocked but wasn't sure as it feels wrong seeing them on their side :D

I've had it in the past with my ultrawide where it was stood on the centre speaker, with the left/right on their side on the desk. Gave quite a uniformed look almost like a stretched out soundbar. :)

Yeah on their side would be WAY better than blocking any drivers, especially tweeters.
Ideally you want them tilted up slightly to point at your head height but that's nit-picking.
