Hi Guys,

It's been a while since I've been on here hope you're all ok.

My old faithful BenQ XL2420T is about to give up the ghost it's starting to go dark and flicker even with the brightness maxed it's served me very well and been a fantastic monitor for the last 7 - 8 years or so but I feel it's time to move on.

My Monitor requirements have also changed over the years originally it just got used for gaming now I find myself working on multiple spreadsheets at the same time, watching films or youtube guides at the same time with a bit of gaming chucked in for good measure which made me think maybe I need a dual monitor set up? My research so far has just served to confuse me even more and raise more questions a friend suggested I ask on here.

So my question, do I go with a 2 monitors set up, or do I go super-wide curved screen? and what would your suggestions be I will put some info below to help?

Budget - £500 - £600
My setup currently sits in the corner of my desk and I have easy 3.5 ft 42 " without having to relocate a shelf but that also could be moved if needed.
My rig runs an old MSI Radeon hd 6900 graphics card with 2 dvi outputs and a single hd port

I look forward to reading your comments and thankyou in advance.

Kind regards Guy

Hi, thanks for the reply any gaming I do at the moment is usually a StarWars Galaxies emulator and not too heavy on the graphics I know at some point I will have to upgrade my machine with some new bits, so it may be an idea for me to future proof my purchase on the understanding the next thing to swap out would be my G card.
it certainly sounds from what you say about a vertical resolution that a 2 screen setup would be better for me.
I appreciate you taking the time to respond many thanks.
