Monitor Choice

HELP! In a dilema, been offer a Asus PA249Q ProArt 24″ IPS Monitor, as a thank you.

From what I've read, it's a pretty top notch monitor, has PIP & many other features which I will never use, plus it's a 10 bit panel

Will it be ok for gaming is my main concern, I would rather have a Dell U2713HM 27"monitor myself, but I'm going to have be tactful in my response to the person .

Depends on the type of gaming,

FPS: Wont shine here, can't find input lag values - but this again, it's not an issue if you aren't concerned about being competitive or wishing to make sure you are performing at your best in terms of response times.

RTS/MMO/Single-Player: It will be fine for this, and plus will outshine in it's colour display.

That said, the Dell U2713HM is a good choice too.

If this monitor is free, then take it, even if you use it for secondary browsing / work related tasks.
