Monitor choices...

I'm looking at spending sub £150 on a new monitor.
I'm currently using a 22" F&H TV which really isn't getting the best out of my PC setup (see sig).
Hoping to pick something good up in the cyber Monday deals, can anyone think of anything I should be keeping an eye on?

Just to add:
-I use my PC for gaming but also do a lot of work on it, Matlab, CAD, Word processing etc.

-Here's how my 22" sits on my desk right now, so I could go bigger. I don't know how big is too big though.

@Benny144 get yourself a nice 24-27" monitor and a mech keyboard.

The bezel on that old 22" thing looks ancient!

• 1 x Asus VS248HR 24" 1920x1080 TN 1ms Widescreen LED Gaming Monitor - Black= £149.99
• 1 x Samsung S24E510C 24" 1920x1080 VA Curved Widescreen LED Monitor - Black= £149.99
• 1 x Acer KA270HBID 27" 1920x1080 VA Widescreen LED Monitor - Black (UM.HX3EE.001)= £149.99

I think the AOC looks the best spec, with freesync and displayport, but I've seen bad reviews on the stand (not the end of the world), I've also found it cheaper elsewhere so could ask OCUK to do a price match. Is there any good ones I'm missing or something significantly better for a little mroe money?
