Can you clean your monitor with Isopropyl alcohol wipes ?

and what do you use to clean your monitor ?

Thank you for help

I just get a cloth let it rest over a jug of boiling water so it gets steamy (not wet) then just rub gently over my tft, works a treat.

Please explain 'steamy cloth', im facinated.

Also please explain how you cloth 'steams' without being 'hot and wet'

Seriously though, I have to clean a lot of TFTs at work that have been infected with the scurge of many IT company, the dreaded 'screen toucher'. Farnell Foam Cleaner makes any screen face look like new when used with lint free cloth..

Got white sprit in that stuff, which can damage plastic...not a good idea. Neither for CRT's, could remove any coatings.

i thought it said on it 'safe for crt and tft monitors'

was a while back mind :)

-this is what the sticky says..

Q. What's The Best Way To Clean a TFT Screen?

The simplest and cheapest way to clean a TFT screen is with a slightly damp cloth; wipe off the left behind water with a towel or similar then smooth/dry completely with a yellow polishing/dusting cloth. Be careful not to use products such as toilet paper and kitchen roll as they contain lint and can leave scratches on your beloved screen! Cleaning solution from opticians and lint free clothes for lens cleaning are also very good.

For the perfectionist, there is "Lindy" brand TFT cleaner. It costs about £4 for a pump-dispenser. You can pick it up at office supply stores and computer fairs.
