Hi Everyone,

I have a Dell UltraSharp 2209WA 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor, best monitor I've owned I must add, but I'm just wondering what is the best way to clean the screen? Everything I have tried leaves streaks.

What do you guys do/use to get that perfect clean look on your monitors?

I use a spray screen cleaner then wipe it clean/dry with a dry wipe. If you repeat this a couple of times it gets it really clean.

I always find if I use a wet wipe then I get the streaky effect even if I repeat it a couple of times. The spray with dry wipe to finish off always seems to work OK.

NO streaks use auto glym fast glass and a micro fibre cloth i have been using that on tv's for years both glossy and matt finish screens and it's great. i still use in now on my 50" panny plasma and my 22" monitor

Regardless of which product you use I would recommend spraying it on to a Microfiber cloth first and applying it that way instead of spraying anything directly on to the screen. It's worth spending an extra few quid on something decent which won't leave streaks or remove the protective coating.

Proper techniques, materials and equipment are essential - but they're not expensive. ;)

Great on glass I agree but be careful as it is solvent based...
