Right, quite a strange problem I have here!

When I first boot my computer up my monitor powers on from standby but display's (No Signal) If I hold down the power button and restart, my monitor then comes to life displaying a picture strangely enough. Any idea's since it would be nice to have a display first attempt :D

Connected by display port (The only input possible)

Edit: Perhaps a very silly question but whilst I have this thread open I was also wondering is there any benefit to having onboard graphics enabled whilst also having a GPU in the system? What makes me question it is I have noticed within some benchmark threads I notice it is required to be disabled does it provide an additional performance gain?

I sometimes get the same with my monitor through display port. My other monitor will display instead of my main monitor. Have to keep restarting till I get a picture, quite annoying really. Wish I knew what caused it too!

Don't have onboard enabled when using a GPU mate and a question for your first problem, are you overclocked and does this happen with the overclock is off? might have nothing to do with it, but used to get a similar problem on a older machine.

Annoying right! Well only had the monitor two day's and noticed it happen after computer has been switched off overnight will do some more testing.

Went into the BIOS and disabled it, I've just whacked +150 on the Core and increased the power limit from 100 to 120 also auto applying the OC. Will give it a go without the overclock etc but either way I want my miniature OC :D Cheers, will post back my findings.

Also, do you unplug your computer or turn it off by the socket? I do it every night as I use the plug socket for a phone charger. Maybe that causes it.

Nope, I leave the power connected.. Earlier I shut down my PC and started it back up with no problems I have only noticed it when it's be off overnight for example and If I recall the monitors splash screen shows up and then no signal therefore since I have disabled onboard graphics perhaps that could have been confusing the system? Will test tomorrow morning like for like senario and see if it's problem free.

Bizarre to say the least

Sorry I meant is the CPU overclocked mate, not the gpu. On one of my older systems an overclock needed me to restart 2 times everytime to get it booting. This was a while back but still thought I would mention it as an option.

No worries, Nope been running it at stock for a while now! Will check back in the morning as that is the only time it has failed to turn on with the PC after 6/7 hours of being off.

Edit: Quick update, It worked first time this morning... Perhaps it was on-board graphics interfering will still keep an eye on it though.
