My monitor has DVI connector but my motherboard has DVI and HDMI, should I connect using DVI cable or DVI to HDMI cable, any difference?
HDMI carries sound so if your monitor has speakers built in and you want to use them then use the HDMI, otherwise it doesnt matter.
I use my Logitech speakers instead of the monitor built in. Will a DVI (monitor) to HDMI (motherboard) cable work?HDMI carries sound so if your monitor has speakers built in and you want to use them then use the HDMI, otherwise it doesnt matter.
Monitor is BenQ GW2760HS, it has DVI, HDMI and VGA port and I'm thinking of using DVI for my PC and HDMI for gaming consoleIf the monitor doesn't also have HDMI there will be no sound forthcoming.
Whats the monitor? Some have resolutions higher than HDMI will support, so DVI is the better option.
