I was about half an hour into a game of HOI 4 when my monitor cuts out with the "No signal" message showing.

The only way i could fix the problem was by turning power off to my PC altogether, where the monitor would boot up with no problems. I tired again thinking it may of just been a 1 off but I had the same issue after the same amount of time had passed.

I have left my computer idle for a couple of hours with the monitors power saving mode disabled to see if it would just cut out but it has stayed on for the full duration.

I have downloaded and installed Sniper Elite 3 with it being an older game to test that out, I didnt know if it could have just been a bug with HOI 4, still had the same issues.

I have updated my GPU drivers. I have ran less graphically intensive games, i.e tile set games - CDDA, and I have had no issue with my monitor.

I read somewhere it may have something to do with my power supply. I am at a loss.

Any help would be greatful

Cheers x

Graphics card/its driver would be primary candidate for monitor losing signal.
Monitor working on Windows desktop basically rules out its something in it which causes that.
(monitor has no idea if it's showing game or Windows)

Have you checked Event viewer if its hows any kind errors?
Those should have time stamp close to when image was lost.

Any onboard VGA you could test with?

Just push it as hard as you can and see if same happens?

One of those obscure problems which "could be anything". Need to start somewhere.

Also, get yourself a PSU tester, invaluable piece of kit to have in your box of tricks. 12v rail is soo important nowadays.
