I've just put together a new computer and attached it to my monitor using a DVI cable. Everything worked fine, and off I went. I installed drivers for everything and restarted, since then there has been no signal through the DVI port, not even the boot sequence.
I had a problem with my old computer and the DVI port whereby it just wouldn't work, I assumed it was a problem with the GFX card in that so used a DVI adaptor to D-SUB cable for it's life, now I'm having to do the same thing with the new computer.
When I did a search one thing came up about a problem with the monitor corrupting the card and needing a bit of software to "reset" it (can't be more specific as I can't find it at the moment)... It's rather annoying as it appears the same problem has now happened on two computers, even after there was no problem on the new computer to begin with.
