Okay so at the moment I have 2 PCs, my main PC has 2 QNIX QX2710 (1440p) running at 110hz, my other PC has a BenQ XL2411Z (1080p 144hz).
I have just upgraded to a GTX 1070 which only has one DVI port and unfortunately the QNIX monitors only have DVI and not HDMI, so I can't use them both on my main PC anymore.
I was originally planning to get a 3rd QNIX monitor but have since given up on that idea. Now, the only reason to have the secondary monitor is for my main PC is for video editing, watching movies and viewing background apps while gaming, which means it doesn't matter if it's only 60hz.
Also, I don't really like my BenQ monitor on 2nd PC, the colours are too bad for my taste, although it is good for competitive gaming.
Eventually I want to get a 1440p 120hz+ G-Sync monitor such as an ASUS PG279Q ROG Swift, but at the moment that's way too expensive for me, especially having just bought a 1070.
I'm happy to keep the QNIX as a primary display for my main PC, but I need another one as a 2nd monitor.
So, as far as I see it these are my options:
1. Get a DVI > HDMI adaptor and keep current setup (but I don't like the BenQ much)
2. Sell the BenQ, buy a cheapish 1440p 27" monitor with decent colours and that matches the QNIX as a secondary monitor for main PC. Use the other QNIX monitor on 2nd PC. If so, which monitor should I buy?
Sorry for wall of text and thanks for any help!
TL;DR - Spec me a decent yet cheap 1440p 27" as a secondary monitor.
