Monitor dimming on login

Hi guys since a recent windows 10 update, my monitor now visibly dims when i login. Has anyone else experienced it or fixed it?

Night mode? (most likely) - go into Display Settings
DisplayFusion has new options to allow all but the working window to be dimmed?

Ive had a look and theres night light but thats switched off. Is that what you meant?

This isn't a power performance setting that has been reset on a laptop after the update is it?

Its not an AOC monitor is it? one that might have something called "eyecare"

Basically a little sensor in the bezel to adjust for ambient light.

Unfortunately no to both, its a desktop and the monitor is LG. Ive had a look on google but there doesnt seem to be much about it, but it is an obvious dim not just a small one (one thread i found mentioned a 50% drop :eek:

). I cant see any form of sensor on the monitor itself, altho i would have thought that would be 'activated' regardless of what the pc was doing. Its a headscratcher for sure.
