Hi all,

I can't display my bios screen on my Alienware AW3423DW. It is a MSI motherboard and an RTX 3080(Zotac) graphics card. I just upgraded my monitor from a 4k Gigabyte monitor where the bios worked fine.

The screen comes up with a signal just no image on screen!?

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Ah, I can't find firmware for my Zotac 3080 tri oc it just recommends firestorm, which is supposed to prompt you first time you open it to update the firmware, but it doesn't on mine, even though it hasn't been updated for 2 years. So Zotac direct failed to update, what site would you recommend?

Cheers :)

I was thinking of HDMI lead, is there still a disadvantage using HDMI over display port now? In the past HDMI couldn't support 60Hz+.

I'd like to mention that it worked fine with my previous monitor, Gigabyte 34 4k(this new monitor is 3440x1440), a month ago.

Thanks for the link!

HDMI might limit your refresh rate with that monitor I think, but i meant to just see if you can see the bios. You could always just keep a HDMI lead for when you want to mess with it, cause you usually dont right? :)

I used an additional HDMI lead and so I just change monitor input to check my bios. It is the DP, it doesn't show the bios bootup screen or anything, very weird.

Anyway, thanks for all your suggestions :)
