Monitor doesn't recognise input if powered on after machine

Hi,

If I power on my machine before turning on my Dell U2312HM then when I do turn the monitor on it goes straight to sleep and only recognises input if switched on before turning my machine on. I've RMA'd one monitor and the same happens with the replacement.

Connected with a DVI cable.

Any ideas?

Yeah as I say it displays fine if turned on before the machine boots.

You've fixed it! Changed Init Display First from Auto to PEG. Does the internal graphics ever get used e.g. for less graphics intensive activities?

Internal graphics is only used when you connect a display to it. Some people report better overclocks with it disabled.

D'oh. Didn't think about that! Dvi cable connected to GPU and not mobo so internal graphics never used.
