Hello,

I have recently got a second monitor, and this guy has no chill, when i walk away from the pc my main benq xl2411t goes and has a nice nap, while the new AOC 2470W goes black screen but its "still on" you can see its not actually black screen just like black background.
If I turn off the PC it goes to sleep as normal and the led turns from green to yellow on both.

Something funny I noticed however is when the PC goes to sleep it makes the usb plug unplug noise. And the AOC monitor says no signal.
The benq is connected via dvi to dvi and the AOC is connected to dp on the gf side and HDMI on monitor side.

I got gigabyte 1070

Any help would be mucho appriciato.

Hmm. Perhaps ensure drivers for monitors are installed and if that doesn't help perhaps try and create a new plan?

I have just gone dual screen and have no problems on whatever the latest RTM build is.

Sorry I can be anymore help.

Can you try any other cable combo? Might be missing the sleep signal due to the conversion.

Does the AOC go to sleep if it's the only monitor?

I haven tried as the main monitor it only has HDMI and vga and my gpu has 1 hdmi (used by projector and one dvi and rest dps..) But will give it a try
I cant think of any other combo of cables as the only free ports on my gpu is DPs

Maybe give it a nice hot cup of Horlicks before bed! :D

In all seriousness check to see if there are any energy saving settings within the menu system for the monitor itself. They may have been disabled at some point or not enabled.
