Need some help guys! I guess its my monitor or drivers but im unsure
I have a 19" monitor with a native/max resolution of 1440x900, now I've tried updating drivers (nvidia 8800gt Win7 32bit) and it keeps failing for no reason at all(the new installer fails on everything)
the problem though is also the monitor it does not have the right "limits" for resolution/Refresh rate and games as default set it up on 1440x900 at 80Mhz - maximum being 75Mhz this makes the monitor go black and fail to show any picture
now if drivers fail to install I also can't see the correct native resolution(closest being 1280x1024) and i have resolutions like 1920x1200 and so on available :|
googled my brain out about both drivers/monitor and can't find anything that would help me sort this out.. reinstalling windows being the last thing on my list

is it possible that somehow i messed up monitors EDID?
