monitor dropping resolution

my 34 Acer uws monitor when left idle, drops from 3440x1440 75hz to 2560x 1080 60hz, to get it working again at the proper resolution and 75hz i have to reboot my computer I have a fury x GPU. anyone know how to fix this, or is it my fury x on its way out.

Might be simple as a monitor driver, tbh. Maybe Windows is badly detecting what the display is capable of...

I assume its using DP, if so can you get same fix by unplugging/plugging in the DP cable?

Some monitors have Deep Sleep option in settings for HDMI and DP.
