Cant believe my luck, i think my monitor is dying!! just spent a few quid on Hard drives to :(

Problem: Twice today my monitor (browsing web only) screen went pale and then proceeded to have vertical colour lines running down it, changing thickness and colour as time went on.

The first time it happened it sorted itself out in 30-40 seconds, it happened again not 10mins ago and took 3mins to return to normal.

My screen is this one i think, branded DGM http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17806175 and is a few years old!

Has any one experienced anything like this?

If it is indeed my monitor, what at the moment is the best screen for gaming without selling a kidney:rolleyes:

I have a 4890 1g card and that seems to be fine, will try and test it on another monitor in the next few days.

cheers for any input/advice

I can't answer your question regarding the fault, but if you do end up looking for a new monitor, what sort of games do you play?

Not much at the moment but dabble in old games like RO, DH a bit of ArmaOA really waiting for ROHOS, possibly BF3 (if they manage not to balls it up)

Occasionally a bit of BC2 nam if drunk ;)

Thanks for the input, all seated fine, cables okay, to be honest this monitor has been on constantly since i have had it.

Went again just now....took 5-7 mins to come back...some more photos...
