Monitor dying ?

Looking for some advice please
Got out of warranty 1440p monitor that has started given me problems. it flickers every now and then and it sometimes goes black and the picture will not come back unless i switch it off and on.
Wondering if anybody has any idea what might be wrong ?? Worth fixing or just buying new monitor ?

Probably on its way out, try and keep it for awhile then upgrade to a 4k

EDIT: Could be a bad cable, try replacing it and see what happens.
