Hi All,

Just finished off my new PC which is pretty much dedicated to BF3 action and currently running all ultra so I'm very happy with it! :)

Issue is that I'm running this all through a very old 22" HP screen that has served me very well!! I was going to use the extra cash to pop in another 7850 into my machine in prep for BF4 but I'm thinking I would prefer a new screen instead!! I have had a look to see what I should be looking for and got very confused to hear the the response time isn't that main thing so thought I would ask you guys :)

Basically, as stated, I want the best 24" or more for gaming and ideally want to spend £150 but can go to £200 if needed but don't really want to unless I would gain a lot! Also very happy to get *B grade/clearance!

Thanks

Since you say the pc is dedicated to BF3 action then you'll want a 120hz monitor which is hard to obtain for around £200.....being on an AMD card your best bet is a Samsung S23A700D if you can get one for around that but i expect them to be £250 cheapest.Another 120hz that's cheaper and as good is the BenQ XL2411T but i am not 100% sure if it works fine with AMD cards i think it does it's just that you can't do 3D gaming on it if i remember.(there might be a tweak though)

If you do not wish to pay the extra for 120hz which is worth it in your case then i would suggest http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-055-DE&groupid=17&catid=1425 for the low input lag and nice colours.(i personally hate 60hz now for gaming as i am so used to 120hz)

The BenQ XL2411T should work fine with AMD cards for 144hz 2D however you'd need a Nvidia card to make use of the 3D. (plus you'd need to buy an emitter and glasses which are expensive so the just look at it as a non 3D monitor out of the box) Myself and my brother have a couple of these screens arriving this week to use on AMD HD 7950's.

Hi Kieran,

is there any good 120hz + monitors out there in my price range?

Thank
