Monitor for £200

Need to get a monitor for my wee brothers birthday, budget of £200. He wants 22"-24" size.

Anything you could recommend to buy or avoid??

Could check out the BenQ 24inch that they have here, less then £165
i have been looking for a good monitor for £200 as well - just cant find one

its a bit higher at around £213 but what about the Dell Sp2309w?
been looking at that myself as well

Like the look of the samsung one, particularly the 16:10 aspect ratio. It's what I have, and I find it hard to imagine going back to 16:9! Do you own one alex?

Cheers for looking that up alex! After a bit of thought and snooping, I think I'm going to get him one of the BENQ LED panels, just not sure what one (it's either DVI or HDMI). I'm leaning towards HDMI, cauz he has an xbox 360 as well, would it work ok with that?

If you want HDMI you need the V2410 ECO. The only problem I see for XB360 gaming is that the viewing angles and colour shifting is pretty bad on those monitors. To be honest it depends where he's going to be sat relative to the screen.

Get The Dell SP2309w - i got mine Yesturday and Wow!
it is freaking great i am loving it so far

i think you can get it from Dell for just under £200

Well, I ordered the Dell and it has arrived!!! Unfortunately, his birthdays not til the 20th, so no reviews until then! Rest assured I'll let you know, I can compare it to my 24" DGM value monitor

Well I've seen it now! Not done anything stressful, but it looks to be a good monitor. The back is curved white plastic, love it! I'll try and get over to see what it's like for backlight bleed and lag, although he says there is none.

my new benq none led version beats my 24" dell & 22" lg. & it's cheaper too.
