Hi Guys,

Just picked a Mac mini off the forum. Have connected it to the TV and can't see the menu bar.

Playing about with various resolutions isn't helping. Chipset is Intel HD3000.

So, I'm after a monitor that will suit and give me full-screen.

Nothing mega, just something functional and clear.

Any recommendations?

Thanks,
Martin

Any monitor should do if you're not looking something high spec. HDMI will do up to 1920x1200 on the 2011. And the thunderbolt port will do 2560x1600. On my 2012 I had, I used a mini display port to full display port with the DGM 27" 2560x1440 monitor.

If you can't see the menu bar on a TV, try looking for an "overscan" option in the TV menus and disable it. If you have a "1:1 pixel mapping" option, turn that on.
