Monitor for casual gaming and programming, budget £250

There is a Samsung 34'' UWQHD that was on sale during Black Friday for 250 quid and might be back to that price again in the future (hopefully).
The advantage of UWQHD for programming is that you can have 2 or even 3 windows side by side on the same screen.
As for gaming, well, I think it was a 60Hz panel, so I guess it depends on what type of casual gaming you do. It should be fine for RPGs or RTSs or Minesweeper
Maybe not so good for competitive CoD...
