My older sister phoned me today to ask advice about buying a new monitor. Their ancient Dell CRT monitor had finally given up the ghost.
Neither my sister or brother-in-law (both retired) are particularly computer literate and just tend to use the computer for browsing, email and watching the odd programme on catchup. Problem is I've had my current monitor for around 7 years now, (just a bog standard BenQ TN screen) so haven't much idea of what is out there.
I have been looking at the Dell U2417H and the Samsung C27F591. I realise these are two disparate screens though similarly priced, the Dell being a 24 inch IPS the Samsung a 27 inch curved VA panel - both have full HD resolution.
I would welcome any observations on my choice and also any other contenders people may have.
