I've been asked by someone to find them a monitor for graphic design. Im not too hot on whats great at the moment so would appreciate some advice.

Hes looking to spend about £500. He wants a 24" that is good for graphic design and easy to calibrate.

Anything thats good around that price bracket or possibly a bit lower?

Any websites that are good for reviews?

Thanks

If it's for display on screen, than something that can display native sRGB is preferable, which limits the options somewhat. NEC 2490WUXi is "king of the hill" for on-screen application and pretty much the only high-end sRGB display on the market right now.

Runners up would be the Benq FP241 if you can still find it, and the new eIPS Dell (which I never remember, is it 2209-something?), or even the NEC 24WMGX3 if none of the above are available.

If it's primarily print, then you can get by with the current H-IPS offerings, HP 2475 being the most popular and fairly cheap. I won't recommend it for on-screen applications. Though It's possible to tweak to a level where it looks subjectively fine for browsing and the likes, but correct sRGB output for reference on it isn't trivial.
