I've decided to start playing the odd game again so am gonna be buying an 5080 gpu and a monitor. Im running an I5 12600 and 32 GB of ram so I think im gonna ok for now with that.
But I need help with monitor ideas. last year I had a Evnia Gaming Monitor ultra wide thing but hated the sheer size and fragility of it so got rid of it. My eyesight is getting worse too as I get older so thats a small issue. Games wise Ive not got a particulary fav style to play. Any ideas please. Thanks Steve.

Could you provide a bit more info, for example do you have a particular size in mind, how deep is your desk?

Well i havent even got a desk so thats not an issue, If i need a deep desk to accomodate size then I'll get one. Im thinking that 32"is the lowest i can go if im gonna be using a single monitor although if Im not averse to dual monitor setups if the GPU will handle it.

The Windows scaling options are pretty decent along with accessibility so I don't think you will have a problem with the OS at least (games can be hit or miss with settings like that).
You have a good spec PC, I would probably look at 1440p monitors of which there are many. Do you have a budget in mind, a max would be good as prices range massively, for example you can get a 27" screen for about £120 but an OLED one wit high refresh can set you back 500+

Budget wise i would go to about 1k . I have had a brief look at that Samsung G7 40" and quite like that thought of that, I know theres a post with a user quite liking it somewhere here. Theres MSI and there Asus ones too but i just dont wanna make a big mistake hence the ask on here.

32" flatscreen is a nice size if you don't want to go too big. It's easy enough to move yourself (any bigger gets tricky), yet quite big when sitting in front of it.

You can save money by:
- Going for lower resolutions if you don't need 4K
- Going for a VA screen instead of OLED. A VA screen will be bright and crisp and will still give you a reasonable experience, but not as "wow" as OLED.

Or go for max experience by choosing a 4K OLED. MSI is a good brand to choose, e.g.
