Hello,
My current monitor is a samsung 22" entry level 1080p paired with mid-range pc components (ryzen 5/nvidia 1060), with a upgrade to be done perhaps later this year or next. I would like to know what sort of monitor is the standard now for this price bracket.
Here are some preferences;
- 24" max (my desk would be too small to fit larger because i would use the old monitor as a 2nd monitor)
- height adjustment highly prefered.
- It will be a main monitor used for gaming/movies/browsing
I am looking at either 1080p /w 144hz or 1440p 60fps, however I generally will not spend in the "high-end" for pc components so I am not sure if 144fps is really achievable particularly with new releases, also I have not seen a great deal of 24" 1440p monitors as that resolution tends to be on 27" monitors. I also have no clue about TN/VA/IPS other than better viewing angles/colour display.
What would you guys recommend? Let's say you brought a midrange PC now, what monitor would you buy with it. Any responses are appreciated.
