Monitor for new system help.

I’ve got a new system set up but just using an old 32 inch tv for now.
Just wondering which monitor to look for, choice of 1080p 24 inch 144hz or 1440p 60hz at 24 or 27 inch.
Mainly for gaming, things like pubg, cs go etc. Just for fun nothing serious or competative.
Which would you choose?

Don’t really want to spend more then 200-250 have seen some around that price.
Gtx1070 for gpu

You're not going to get a 27" 1440p monitor for that money but you'll find OCUK have a number of 24" 144Hz monitors in your price range.

Ok forget budget I just don’t want to go mad.
What would I benefit more from, 1440p at 60hz or 1080p at 144hz?

Probably the latter. Don't bother with G-sync. Despite just having purchased a G-sync monitor, I expect G-sync to disappear in the next year or two as HDMI 2.1 becomes ubiquitous.

Nope. Nvidia aren't releasing 4k Gsync TV's for nothing, they're protecting the Gsync brand and blocking VRR via HDMI. They're ****s, it's how they work.

Ok cheers think il go for the 1080p then if it still looks good at 24inch.
Have only had lesser resolution screens about 10 years ago with the last pc

So I’ve been having a look online and found some pretty cheap 1080p 144hz monitors on overclockers but have also seen a 24 inch Acer 1440p 144hz elsewhere for £227. Do you think that be a good start?

Without the model we can't check reviews or provide personal experiences. Purely with regards to the price, OCUK may well price-match. However, if the competitor is S*** you would be well advised to steer well clear.

Sorry it’s an Acer xf24oyu 23.8inch.
Just seems cheap 1440 monitor, don’t need anything top spec like.

If it’s not up to much il just go for a 1080

1070Ti is where the best value is atm imo, with a tweak it's just a couple of fps off a 1080
