Hi all,

I'm in the market for a monitor for my parents as theirs has given up the ghost. Sadly I've only just sold another monitor of mine, otherwise I would have given it to them!
Max budget is £250, and the requirements are:

1. Adjustable stand height - Necessity
2. 27 inch - Necessity.
3. Flicker free - if possible.

I'm looking around a bit, but I've not found any with an adjustable height so far in that price range.

Any help and/or recommendations would be appreciated! :)

Thanks in advance!

ocuk doesn't list it as flicker-free, but it is. In addition to height-adjustable stand, it also has pivot (portrait orientation).

You should probably also define that it should be 1920x1080, as your parents will most likely have "age-vision", so higher resolution will only result to squinting eyes. Then again, I don't think your budget reaches the 1440p monitors, in any case.

Also, as they most probably won't be gaming, then IPS/VA/PLS panels are more recommended for better colours and wider viewing angles.

If the height-adjustment wouldn't be a critical feature, I would suggest the BenQ GW2760HS, which is cheaper (£180), but it's also out of stock...
