Monitor for PC & Console Gaming

Hi guys its time for me to get a new monitor & I could use some help finding a new one (because I have no clue about this kind of thing) I don't really have a budget but Id rather keep it under £500. The monitor will be used for both my PC & Xbox One.

I also have a retarded question about sound, Id like to hear my PC & Xbox at the same time through my headset (im not sure if this is possible which is why I started a post about it HERE)

at the moment my Headset goes into a splitter (along with my surround sound) which then goes into the back of my PC, my console goes into my TV & uses its sound (but I want to change that because its wall mounted & just uncomfortable for gaming, screen is too big & too high) which is why I wanted them both on the one monitor. as for the sound I pretty much live on a TS server with friends & family popping on all the time so id like to be able to stay on it to communicate with them while still being able to enjoy the sounds of my games at the same time on the headset.
