Hi all,

So my GF got me a PS4 for Christmas (  :D) but I need a new monitor. My current PCBank PB2700 doesn't had HDMI input and unfortunately I don't have enough desk room to put a TV next to it, so I need something to connect both PC and PS4 to.

Ideally I'd like to keep at 2560x1440 for my PC, so I'm thinking a Dell U2515H, still an IPS panel and the price seems to be great (~£250). I don't think I'd mind the slightly smaller display size either.

Thoughts, suggestions?

The Dell is a great choice, can't think of anything better at that size. Will you be happy dropping the size though? I dropped recently and I missed the bigger monitor so went back up in size. Iiyama do a nice 27" 1440 monitor for around £259. If you definitely want IPS though then take a look at Acers range.

the thing to note is that the PS4 is 1920x1080 native so the image can look blurry and text can be hard to read on a bigger res monitor (unless its 4k where things can look more blocky), some folk say its fine but others hate it (its personal preference).

Also different monitors have different panels and different scaling chips so some look better then others. The best bet if you want a 1440p monitor is to go for a benq that supports smart scaling so you can play the ps4 with black boarders if you don't like it at 1440p!

To save some pain jm going to use the TV from the living room as that will just about fit on my desk with my current monitor and speakers.

That means a new TV has been ordered for the living room. Win win all around.

Sorry to Hi-jack your thread.

I am also looking for a monitor for both PC and PS4 use.

Budget: £200
Size: 27" (Flexible) Currently only use a 22" So anything bigger will be improvement
PC Games: Arma, Rocket League, CS:GO etc.
PS4: Just gaming, probably not use it to watch anything, although having the option would be nice.
