Hi there,

I run my own business and I am looking for a new monitor for photo editing. I'd like something around 27" or a little larger, and I don't want to spend too much.

Obviously refresh and response rates don't matter at all as it's purely for work.

I'm looking at all budgets but the less it costs the better as the business is a start up.

Thanks for your help chaps and chapesses ;)

Hi there,

I'd recommend the BenQ BL2711U.

CAD/CAM
The revolutionary CAD/CAM Mode offers superior contrast on 3D color lines. You can clearly distinguish details in complicated object wireframes, alter monitor color and never miss a line again.

Animation
Animation Mode enhances details in dark shadows so you can fine-tune creations effortlessly, while areas that do not require this function remain unaltered.

Video-Editing
A large working plane and precision UHD image quality make it easier to work in multiple windows or on multiple programs at one time. Rec. 709 color space ensures that every color is faithfully represented with precision.

Graphic Arts
Featuring UHD resolution, ultra-refined 10-bit display, advanced IPS technology, and 100% sRGB color rendering; BenQ Designer Monitors will exceed your expectations for richness, contrast, and visual dynamics.

Just be aware that a 27" monitor at 4k will have a great work space but unless you have amazing vision you will need to use scaling. Windows 10 scales reasonably but Adobe products are a little restricted.

I am returning my BenQ 32" PD3200U 4k and even the size of that being 32" at 100% scaling PS and LR had great work space, with no scaling, but tiny menus etc.

I am using my older BenQ 27" 1440p BL2710PT (BenQ BL2710PT 27 inch 2K QHD Designer Monitor (2560 x 1440, 100 per cent sRGB, REC 709, Height Adjustment, CAD/CAM and Animation Mode, VGA/DVI-DL/DP1.2/HDMI) - Black) and at 1440p that is fine for me at 27" and 100% scaling.

Just watch some vids at YT about scaling with 4k and see if it meets your needs, but buy from a place where a refund can be given if it doesn't meet your needs.
