Would this be a good choice for photo editing and the very very very odd gaming maybe no gaming at all

99% srgb accuracy

I know full adobe rgb is better but only wanting to spend upto £400

I also have the spyder x calibrator

Would like a monitor that produces near enough like for like printing

I also have the spyder x calibrator

This is whatbim looking at - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/lg-3...descreen-curved-gaming-monitor-mo-16r-lg.html

Thanks

I would not buy a gaming monitor for photo work.

I mean that last time I did that I ended up sending it back. The colours were horrible. That damn thing would not calibrate well either, and yet it was an expensive monitor. Don't trust the manufactures spec, I really would buy one that is recommended by others for that photo work. Dell, Asus and Benq stand out for me as companies that produce monitors you might be interested in.

Incidentally, Spyder will not deal with a poor monitor. It will help but it can't make a poor monitor good. It is a good idea to have a spyder, though, colour does drift with time. I have a nearly two year old Dell here and it's quite surprising when you stand it against a new one. The colours have shifted a lot over those two years.

You can get reviews tailored to content creation on YouTube, like this:

Curved monitors are generally frowned upon for image/photo editing.

You definitely should avoid curved, VA and ultra-wide monitors for photo editing.

At your budget, I'd look at the Dell S2722QC or Asus PA278QV if you're happy limiting yourself to SRGB. That said, I'd really suggest looking at something with decent ARGB coverage for photo editing (but it could be an upgrade further down the line).

I'm using both a 27" Dell & a 32" Benq for gaming and photoshop work. Both are several years old, I prefer the Dell to be honest. Once I update my system in a few months time, I've shortlisted a 42" Dell. Not too bothered about anything over 60htz at the moment (although there's some nice looking large monitors on the horizon - what about that bendy Corsair lol)
