Hi all. Trying to help out a friend with the above.

He's after a 27" Monitor for his 360 in the £200-£400 bracket. We've looked at Asus, Viewsonic and a Dell one so far.

Does anyone have any recommendations of any particular models that should be considered?

make sure the 27" monitor is 1080p (1920x1080) and not 2560x1440 like some 27" monitors are, otherwise the monitor will just stretch the picture.

Also, you probably want one with speakers built in.

Ah right wasn't aware of this! Wondered what the difference was.

Of the 3 brands mentioned above, any of them you would favour?

Hi all been looking at these 3 monitors for purely xbox gaming, edging towards the Liyana Prolite any comments and advise would be really appreciated.
Monitors are:-

Liyana Prolite G2773HS
BenQ GW2750HM
Viewsonic VX2739WM

Thanks in advance.

The Prolite is a very good screen but it is a little overkill for xbox gaming which can only do 1080p @ 60Hz. (so the 120Hz won't even come into play)

@Saint & ChefWil:

For Xbox the BenQ GW2750HM is a very good screen and not bank breaking either. (OcUK do sometimes have them on offer @ £179.99)

Another 27" model worth checking out is the "AOC i2757Fm" - similar price range to the BenQ and performs well with games.

Will you be wanting built in speakers? Or does your friend have a headset that plugs directly into his xbox? (like Astros)

I know the Xbox does not support 120hz, but I would like a 27" monitor and have decided on a Iiyama Prolite G2773HS, still seems the best choice for gaming.
Thanks for your input and feel free to comment.

im pritty sure its iiyama not Liyana

I think it's a silly choice for xbox gaming :)
As you say, 120hz capability is pointless for console gaming.

The Benq GW27 previously suggested would be a more suitable choice for what you're using it for and offers better viewing angles if you've got mates round :)
