Sorry another one of them threads. Could you pro's please assist, i've picked out two monitors which look good for gaming under £150 but im no expert on Monitors..

First one i've seen is Asus VN247H (on another site) which is different to the one on this site as on here it has 1ms response and 2 HDMI's were as the other site its £149 but has 1 HDMI and 2ms response but the same model?

The second monitor i've seen for £149 with 2ms response is Samsung S23B550V

Are there any better than these for Xbox 360 gaming and occasional computer use.

BenQ GW2450HM

I use these for a local gaming night and competitive fighting game competitions due to their low lag.

Review

The benq 2450 was the official mlg console monitor too

Thanks for the response fellas. I see this has 4ms response time again im not "Monitor Wiz" but wouldn't the above have less "input lag" due to them being 2ms response to the BenQ ? Looks a really nice monitor and if MLG used it, then it must be good.

Best way to explain it would be to have a look at the article I linked to and there is an input lag section: quick link

But response time and input lag are not directly related.

Thanks for clearing that up, have you got this monitor (BenQ)? or used it whats it like for Fast paced games such as COD? Do you know? The review that was posted sempt like it can handle practically everything you throw at it. Im very tempted as the price seems really good on special offer this week.

Im currently reading reviews on the BenQ and its very mixed, a lot of people are claiming there is a lot of ghosting and washed out colours, i know this is pretty low end monitor in some respect but im really confused in which is the best bang for buck.

I have 3. I can try COD out on it tonight if you want, like I mentioned I primarily use them for fighting games where inputs have to be precise to the frame, but if you have a game you play a lot let me know which one and I'll have quick play and let you know.

I would certainly appreciate that, i play Call of Duty so most fast paced FPS on the Xbox 360. So if you could test that for me i'd be greatful. Also what is the colours/screen like ?

I had a play with it last night and I couldn't notice any problems with ghosting at all. Had a few bouts on Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2 and apart from my average gameplay it was all good. From the reviews you were reading were they PC users or Xbox users?

Thought I would pop this up early because around 11/12 the this "week only price" will change.
The colours are as bright as some IPS panels but you can calibrate it to your liking. I think there are some nice guides out there for it as well.

Thats brilliant and im not really sure what they were using. It sounds Ghosting is more apparant on PC's as apposed to Laptops. I think ill take the plunge shortly if it worked on the Xbox perfectly. Appreciate your time and effort mate.
