Monitor for Xbox Series X

I recently upgraded my S to and X and I have it attached to this:

Would I be wise to upgrade the monitor to something that is 4k, what sort of difference would I realistically see? It is also plugged into my Mac as an external screen.

The difference would be a higher resolution. This will vary depending on the game but a higher resolution means more pixels so a finer image.

Might be wiser plugging your Xbox into your 4K TV instead if you have one.

If he upgraded to that he’d also benefit from higher DPI for his Mac too on a plus.

I always assume when people are using consoles on a desk with a monitor, it’s because they don’t want to take over a TV somewhere else in the house.

Exactly right, I have quite a nice set up in my office so I dont really want to add a TV but I'd be happy to take some better monitor suggestions.
